Meet the Creator

👋🏼 Hi, I'm Laura Boesen - educator, program creator, and the founder of The Creative Sentence.

I hold two graduate degrees in Behavioral Analysis and Educational Psychology, and I've spent nearly a decade creating programs that help people grow. My experience spans higher education, autism spectrum disorder, athletics, and teaching inside prison walls. I've seen firsthand what happens when people are finally given space to reflect, feel, and begin again.

This workbook was born out of my time teaching and volunteering inside correctional facilities where I was able to listen to men and women process grief, joy, anger, hope, and everything in between. Over time, I realized this wasn't just something people inside needed. We all carry stories that deserve room to be told.

The Creative Sentence is for anyone who wants to better understand themselves and their emotions through reflection and creativity. Even better, your own healing helps make healing possible for someone else. Each workbook purchased supports our mission to provide free copies to incarcerated individuals who wouldn't otherwise have access.
